Course Overview
This semester features a diverse curriculum comprising eight interdisciplinary courses related to sustainability:
“Principles of Two-Way Communication and Knowledge Dissemination,” “Medication Safety and Health,” “Community Learning Hub: Lifelong Learning in the Neighborhood,” “Is Food an Angel or a Devil?”, “Environmental Protection through Diet,” “Applications of the Food Plate: Traditional Chinese Medicine and Food Recovery,” “The Great Physician’s Integrity: Holistic Medical Practice and Reflections on Medical Humanities,” and “Caring for the Community: Walking with Love and Health,” offered at the Beigang Campus.
Covering topics ranging from healthcare and environmental protection to social care, these courses help students integrate sustainability thinking into their professional studies and daily learning.
Opening Session of the 2025 Fall Semester Course Cluster
The first session of the 2025 Fall Semester (114-1) microcredit course cluster was delivered by Professor Cheng-Chun Lee, Chief Sustainability Officer of the Office of Sustainable Development, under the theme “An Overview of Global Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).” Through international case studies, SDG-related issues, and healthcare practices, Professor Lee guided students in understanding global sustainability challenges and emerging trends, emphasizing the importance of translating sustainability into everyday learning and professional training.
At the conclusion of the session, he encouraged students to approach future challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective, aspiring to become CMU professionals who combine disciplinary expertise with strong sustainability literacy.

Through microcredit course clusters, the University strengthens students’ international perspectives and sense of social responsibility, aiming to embed sustainability principles deeply within the educational environment and cultivate impactful talents for a healthy society and a sustainable future.
