2026 SROI Scope, Stakeholders, and Consensus Workshop

Attendees: The workshop was attended by Dr. Cheng-Chun Lee (Chief Sustainability Officer), Dr. Meng-Liang Lin (Dean of Student Affairs), and Dr. Hsiang-Wen Lin (Vice Dean, who joined online). Faculty participants included Professors Huei-Ching Huang, Min-Kun Lin, and Shu-Mei Chou; Associate Professors Yu-Kuei Teng and Miao-Jung Li; and Assistant Professors Yun-Hsuan Wu, Wen-Chieh Wu, Li-Na Liao, and Chin-Yun Hsu. Also in attendance were Counselor Yu-Yu Wang, alongside assistants Che-Chun Lin, Hsin-Yu Li, Yu-Chien Hung, Yu-Cen Zhang, Hsuan-Hsuan Liu, Kun-Shou Tsai, and Pei-Chu Hung.

On July 9, 2026, the Office of Sustainable Development at China Medical University (CMU) hosted the "2026 SROI Scope, Stakeholders, and Consensus Workshop" in Active Learning Classroom 701 of the Zhuoyue Building. The workshop featured Consultant Yong-Quan Ke, a top-tier Advanced Practitioner from the Social Value Taiwan, who guided faculty members involved in University Social Responsibility (USR) projects to clarify their stakeholder scopes and review project outcomes for the year 2026.

Throughout the session, Consultant Yong-Quan Ke utilized iterative questioning techniques to guide participants in structuring and defining the outcomes of their respective project contents, laying a solid foundation for future quantitative surveys. He also pointed out that future USR projects could design their targeted outcomes by focusing directly on the specific pain points or needs of the community.

Moving forward, the relevant insights gained from this workshop will align with the university's medium-to-long-term development plans. By conducting impact assessments through Social Return on Investment (SROI), the evaluation results will feed back into CMU's long-term institutional planning, serving as a cornerstone for subsequent strategic adjustments and resource allocation, thereby comprehensively enhancing project integration and social value.
