【Sustainable Pulse: Humanities, Technology, and Social Practice Project】Core Structure
1. Project Mission
- Cross-Disciplinary Competence Development: Focused on the core themes of humanities literacy, social concern, technology, and education.
- Sustainable Knowledge Enhancement: Aims to cultivate students from different disciplines with knowledge about sustainable development issues.
- Social and Environmental Awareness: Guides students to care about the society and environment they are in, to achieve the long-term goals of the school's sustainable development.
2. Certification Rules
- Total Credit Requirement: Completion of courses as planned in this program, with a passing grade of at least 8 credits (inclusive).
- Cross-Disciplinary Limitations: Among the required courses, at least 4 credits must not be in the student's major, minor, or double major required courses.
- Certification Application: After meeting the standards, students may apply to the Academic Affairs Office for certification, which will be issued upon approval.
3. Course Modules
The course design is divided into two main themes, embodying the concept of "pulse" from micro to macro practices:
Micro Lifestyle Practices (1 Credit Micro Course Series):
- Includes diverse aspects such as Traditional Chinese Medicine for health and wellness, gender relations and equality, community detective studies, food safety, and the impacts of environmental pollution on health.
Macro Society and Technology (2 Credits General Course):
- Covers in-depth topics such as global environmental changes, corporate social responsibility, introduction to smart living technologies, low-carbon living, and greenhouse gas inventory.
