Sustainable development is one of the most important global issues of the 21st century. In 2015, the United Nations announced the "2030 Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs), which include 17 core objectives, encompassing 169 specific targets and 230 indicators. These goals address crucial issues such as poverty eradication, climate action, quality education, and gender equality, highlighting the significant challenges and opportunities humanity faces. What are the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals? Amidst pressing challenges like climate change, economic growth, social equity, and the gap between the rich and the poor, the United Nations announced the "2030 Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) in 2015. These include 17 SDGs aimed at eradicating poverty, mitigating climate change, and promoting gender equality, guiding global collaborative efforts towards sustainability. At that time, 193 countries agreed to strive towards achieving the 17 SDGs by 2030.
